Position Description
The department of Health Science is seeking to fill one 9-month temporary clinical athletic training faculty position to work with intercollegiate athletics through the Department of Health Science. Athletic training services will be assigned with respect to departmental needs.
Successful applicants must be able to provide athletic training services for California University of PA intercollegiate athletic teams including organized team activities, home and away contests and post-season championship events. Nine-month positions will provide athletic training services during the academic year.
This position will work collaboratively with Athletics administration, professional athletic training program director, clinical education coordinator, and faculty.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Successful applicants must be BOC certified and hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Athletic Trainer license. A minimum of 3 years full-time clinical experience is desired; collegiate experience preferred. Must demonstrate organizational and communication skills with athletic training staff, faculty, medical professionals, and Athletics department as well as willingness to serve as a clinical preceptor for athletic training students.
In order to be a leading applicant in this search, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, the applicant minimally must be fluent in the English language, be able to communicate well, and demonstrate outstanding potential for excellence in clinical athletic training through a successful interview and/or clinical demonstration.
Minimum of Education / Training: Must be a certified athletic trainer with a Master's degree in athletic training or related field; 3 years full time clinical experience desired. Intercollegiate level AT Experience is preferred.
